Lend Lease is one of the world's leading project management and construction companies.

Project description

Lend Lease had an unsustainable deficit in their DB scheme so decided to close it to future accrual, move members into a CARE arrangement and provide them with a DC top-up. We developed a phased communication strategy which included a newsletter explaining the need for changes, teleconference sessions with the CEO and a managers pack to enable HR personnel to answer queries. Roadshows were held across the UK and a CD-Rom booklet including a modeller and personalised leaflet was sent to members so they could see the effect of the proposed changes on their own benefits. A follow up newsletter was issued and chaser postcards were sent to any members who had not completed their 'decision time' forms. By the end of the project every member had chosen to opt in to the new arrangement.
