'NEST' communications will be vital to its success
PRESS RELEASE:
SHILLING Communication, the pensions and benefits communication specialists, said today that effective communications surrounding NEST (National Employer Savings Trust) will be vital to its success.
Steve Sykes of SHILLING commented; ‘NEST, for many organisations, will present huge communication challenges. Neither NEST, nor auto-enrolment, addresses employee engagement issues. For employees to understand and accept messages they should reflect company values and be made personal. Communications should never be based on assumptions and with PADA delivering much of the suite of communications to employers this will inevitably be the case. ‘
Sykes added; ‘For companies that are just interested in ticking the compliance box then they may have less to do than at present. But companies that want to engage with their staff and explain the value of their total benefits package will want to manage their communication themselves to ensure it fits within the company’s overall business objectives. PADA must step up their communications with employers of all sizes soon to give them a chance to prepare and to ensure this is not the disaster it is promising to be.’
